Red Zone

Red Zone

The subject of the photo series "Red Zone" was inspired by the aesthetics of the usual  fire prevention boards, the safety posters and prints on work clothes, where the red color always indicates a zone of active attention, and possible injuries and destructions. On the fire boards the red colour concentrates our view in the extreme situation, as well as because of its sensual activity it calls us for the immediate decisive actions. In this series red color represents the key point of not the necessarily destructive, but always the highest activity in the interaction of two different matters, it marks the first (or the last) screaming in the dialogue of mechanic and organic. Ordinary objects around us, extracted by coloring from the familiar environment of consumption, enter into complex dialogical relations with each other, externally determined by their form, but leading to the creation of fundamentally different structures ─ from chimeric to abstract.
